Assemblymember, 54th District

A Democrat representing the 54th Assembly District that includes the communities of Baldwin Hills, Cheviot Hills, the Crenshaw District, Culver City, Holmby Hills, Ladera, Mar Vista, Mid-City, Palms, Rancho Park, and parts of South Los Angeles.  Assemblymember Kamlager was elected to the California State Assembly in a special election on April 3, 2018 and serves as Chair of the Select Committee on Incarcerated Women.  Prior to being elected to the Assembly, Kamlager served as District Director for California State Senator Holly J. Mitchell while also serving as President of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD).  She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and earned a B.A. in political Science from USC and a M.A. in Arts Management and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
