The African-American Leaders for Tomorrow (AALT) Program is a four-day long residential summer program that was held on the campus of California State University Dominquez Hills (CSUDH). Ninety students were hand selected to receive leadership training and attend workshops on topics such as college experience, career development and civic engagement. This year, the students were welcomed to the AALT program by the CLBC and the world-famous entertainer, Nick Cannon who spoke on how to be civically engaged and being a "generator" in your community. Not only were there workshops about professional development, but there were heartfelt discussions on race in America and how to achieve your goals despite obstacles.
