Christopher Holden

Immediate Past Chair, Assemblymember, 41st District

A Democrat representing the communities of Pasadena, South Pasadena, Altadena, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, San Dimas, La Verne, Claremont, Upland, Mt. Baldy, and Rancho Cucamonga. Assemblymember Holden was elected to the California State Assembly in 2012, and serves as Chair of the Utilities and Energy Committee. Holden was previously President of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, a Pasadena City Councilmember for 23 years, and was Mayor of Pasadena in 1997. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Diego. Holden’s legislative agenda focuses on social justice, transportation, education, including protections for college athletes, educating drivers on their rights during traffic stops, reduced fare student transit passes, and community college dual enrollment for high school students.
